Ervin Peter

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ervin Peter announces his sudden passing. Ervin’s greatest joy was his family; he was a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle. He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Jacqueline Peter, his parents Elizabeth and Erno Peter, his sisters Andrea Ferguson and Caroline (Jim) Barr, his nieces Britt Ferguson and Rita Barr, and his nephew Peter Barr. Ervin is predeceased by his sister Rita Peter.

Ervin was born in Montreal, Quebec and grew up in London, Ontario. He was an avid soccer player in his youth, which eventually evolved into a passion for all sports. No one loved the Toronto Blue Jays, and Edmonton Elks more than Ervin. He was truly a jack of all trades and found purpose working with his hands across many fields. If you needed something fixed, he was your man. With a kind and gentle soul, Ervin made those around him feel important. He made fast friends wherever he went and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

A private service was held for Ervin’s family in Edmonton, and a celebration of life will follow in London, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Ervin to the Heart and Stroke foundation or to the Centre of Hope in Fort McMurray.
