Elizabeth Sonia Young (Liz)

February 11/1932 – October 6/2019

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Liz on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the age of 87. She will be forever remembered by her son Larry; 3 grandchildren (Shelley, Connie and Cheyanne); 4 great grandchildren (Heath, Hayden, Alexie, Aurorah); her brother Leon Lank and nephews Roger, Kelvin and Marlin Sheeler. She was predeceased by her spouse Eldin (Bud) Young, parents Jack
and Eva Lank, her sister Adelaine Sheeler and other siblings.

Over the years Liz had many interests that included knitting, bowling, gardening and baking. She loved spending time with Bud taking road trips, camping with the grandchildren and attending chuckwagon races at rodeos.

Cremation has taken place and a service celebrating her life will be held on October 19, 2019 at 2:00 at the Glenwood Community Hall, 16430 – 97 Ave in Edmonton.

The family extends thanks to the staff at the Misericordia Hospital for Liz’s care and support during her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or charity of your choice.
