Eleanor Campbell (nee Leachman)
June 18, 1934 to May 9, 2017
With great sadness the family of Eleanor Campbell announces her peaceful passing after a short illness. Eleanor is survived by Doug, her loving husband of 61 years. She is also survived by her children Ron and Cheryl (Chris), grandson Stuart, sisters; Myrtle Gibson and Donna Weiss. Predeceased by her parents, William and Velma and siblings Roy, Dorothy, Arnold, June, Eileen and Ken.
Eleanor was a gifted gardener, each and every year taking great delight in the coming of springtime when she could finally get back into her garden. But her greatest delight was having her family gathered around the table enjoying a meal and laughing together.
She and Doug were staples at the Glendale Golf Club through the years, enjoying golf with friends and watching their children grow into fine golfers themselves. Summer days were also spent at Baptiste Lake where Eleanor enjoyed quieter times fishing and entertaining friends and family.
At Eleanor’s request there will not be a service. Instead, the family will gather at a later date to celebrate the life of a wonderful woman and Mother. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you simply remember her fondly and, should you so choose, make a donation to the charity of your choice.

To Cheryl and family. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Campbell. I have lovely memories of her smile, warmth and enthusiasm. What a beautiful family you have and may the special memories you have as a family bring you strength. She will truly be missed. Take care. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
My condolences to Doug, Ron and Cheryl on the loss of their mother, who is my sister. I miss her terribly, no more phone calls, no more birthday, anniversary dinners with her, but will hopefuly continue with Doug. Everytime I put money in the slot machine I will be thinking of her, she was always so lucky maybe she’ll pass some of it on to me. The fun times with the four of us have come to a halt, but the three of us will continue hopefully. RIP dear sister till we meet again. Love you lots and think of you often. <3
