It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of my dad David Mitchell, a man whose joy for life, intelligence, and boundless love left an incredible mark on all who knew him. Daddy was a fun loving carefree soul, always quick with a laugh and a kind word. His light hearted spirit made every moment with him memorable and full of joy.

David's life was a testament to resilience and kindness. Despite the traumas he faced in his childhood, he never let them define him. Instead, he chose to be a beacon of support for his family and friends. His intelligence was remarkable; whenever help with math was needed, he became a human calculator, effortlessly solving problems and explaining concepts with patience and clarity. He was not just a father but a best friend to me.

He constantly reminded me of how proud he was, nurturing my dreams with unwavering support and love. His pride and belief served as a source of strength and inspiration. Daddy was a big dreamer, always looking forward with hope and ambition.

His ability to dream big and laugh easily made him a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him. His humour and silliness brought lightness to even the darkest days, a gift that will be sorely missed. Though daddy faced many challenges, his capacity for love remained undiminished. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the importance of dreaming big.

He will forever be remembered as a loving, intelligent, and fun loving man who touched the heart and lives of many.
