Dana Christine Caines
Dana passed away peacefully at the age of 49 years, in her home in Edmonton, Alberta, surrounded by her family and friends. Dana lost her battle with breast cancer but not without a fight. She was a fighter and fought until the very last minute.
Dana was born on January, 23, 1973 to Mona & Rodger Caines of Foxtrap, NL. She was a strong-willed woman with a generous spirit and a loving heart. Dana was a true modern day Mother Teresa. Her infectious laugh & sense of humor was second to none and brought light to all of those she encountered. She was very courageous; her boisterous energy and light will be greatly missed by all.
Dana was predeceased by her infant son Jared Lee, mother Mona Caines, sisters Andrea Caines and Stephanie McIntyre (nee Caines), and her beloved dog Coco.
Dana is survived by her dad Rodger Caines (Enid), her sons Graham & Nathan Tulk (Samantha); and as Dana would say, ”her worst half“ Francis O’Keefe. Also, she is survived by her nieces Erica, Selina, Jenna, nephew Levi and their dad Steve McIntyre; Lee Tulk (Deena); numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends Juanita Celenza (Claudio), and Andrea Bishop-Dawe (Bud).
Special thanks to Dr. Sanraj Basi and her team at the Cross Cancer Institute for going above and beyond for Dana’s treatment.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at future date. Dana’s final resting place will be with her mom Mona Caines in CBS, NL. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are greatly accepted or donations can be made In Dana’s memory to Cross Cancer Institute.
