Claude Jean Boily
On Monday, May 24, 2021, Claude Jean Boily went to be with the Lord as he peacefully passed away at the age of 79.
Claude is lovingly remembered by his wife Liette of 52 years, his sons Eric (Heather) and David (Jacquie), his grandchildren Kendra (Josh), Kelsey (Nathan), Layne and Payton, and great grandchildren Rylen, Alayna, Charlie, and Kayden. He is also greatly missed by his siblings Brigitte (Gille), Rock, Margelaine, Danielle (Claude), Joanne, Micheline (Jean-Paul) and Jocelyn (Nicole). He also leaves behind several cousins and in-laws. Claude now joins his parents Fernand and Armande along with his siblings Jeanyves and Denise.
On March 21, 1942, Claude was born and raised in Desbiens, Quebec. At the age of 17, he joined the Canadian Navy where he served for 11 years after which time he met the love of his life, Liette. They started a family and moved west to Fort McMurray, Alberta for a new career in the Oil and Gas industry with Syncrude. He eventually retired to Edmonton, Alberta where he enjoyed his remaining years tending to his garden and feeding the ducks that visited him every day from the local pond. He will forever be remembered as a loving family man who only wanted the best for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Rest in peace, Claude.
A private family gathering will take place in the near future.
We are saddened to hear of Claude’s passing. We have so many fond memories of Claude and Liette from our time together in Fort McMurray. Robert also reminisces about their fishing/hunting trips. Rest In Peace dear friend. 🦋
