Catherine Shirley Ewasiuk

Catherine Ewasiuk, 95, formerly of Kamloops, British Columbia, passed away Sunday, October 29 th in Edmonton, Alberta. She is predeceased by her husband Peter Ewasiuk and sister Doreen McIvor. She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Ewasiuk and Eryn (Lou) Dechant and grandchildren Caitlyn (Michael) Brown and Adam Tieland, brothers John (Gid) Paul, Charles (Chuck) Paul, sister Roberta Giordano and many nieces and nephews.

Catherine was born in New Westminster, BC and lived in several cities in BC before moving with her husband Peter to Kamloops where they raised their family. After Peter’s death, Catherine and Gayle moved to Edmonton to be with Eryn and her children. They spent many happy years as the Fab Five enjoying adventures and being together. As the family grew, it included new loves, son in law Lou, grandson in law Michael and grand daughter in law Chloe.

Catherine was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her pets, including the most current, a cat named Willow, the occasional night at the casino and butterflies. She will be missed more than she will ever know.
