Betty Watson (nee Case)
On May 6, 2016 Betty Watson passed away, three weeks shy of her 92nd birthday. Betty was born May 30, 1924 in Kelvington, Saskatchewan where she grew up. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Sybil Case and her brother, Ted. She leaves to mourn her husband of 66 years, Victor, her son Case (Lois) as well as four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A celebration of life took place at St. Columba Anglican Church, Beaumont on May 15. Betty was laid to rest in Clearwater Cemetery, Beaumont, Alberta.
I apologize for the length of time it has taken for me to send condolences about Betty’s passing. Betty was my mother’s cousin (Jean Case Morrison). Betty and I met a few times when she came to Toronto to visit Uncle Ben and Aunt Ethel. She was a lovely lady. I remember one visit when she and I were at Aunt Ethel’s at the same time and Uncle Ben came for lunch.
Case- you and I are second cousins. I have done a fair amount of work on the Case family history. A lot of the information was from Uncle Ben.
As I research the family history I wonder why Howard went west.
Did Betty play the piano by any chance? I have the family stuff as passed to my mother from her parents, Uncle Ben and Aunt Ethel. I have an item I wonder was Betty’s but only if she played the piano.
I will be thinking of poor Ted on November 11.
Be nice to be in touch if you are interested in a Case family connection, My sympathies to all of you,
Susan
