Arthur (Art) George Berard
It is with heavy hearts and love that we mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Art Berard. He passed peacefully at the age of 72 years after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s.
Art is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 50+ years, Brenda. He also leaves behind his daughter Jackie (John), their children JR, Ryan, his beloved granddaughter Daryan (Cam) and his mother Winnie, his siblings Ed (Brenda), Phil (Joanne), Cathy (Dennis), Denise (Jim), Patricia (Danny), his in-laws Bev (Jack), Bernice (Marc), Becky, Belinda (Rod), Blake (Sheri), numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Art was predeceased by his father Rene and niece Meranda.
He was proud of his 35 year career with CN Rail that expanded over 3 provinces. He enjoyed camping and was an avid sports fan. He played and excelled at hockey, curling, baseball and golf. He was a great lover of music and made it a very important part of our home life. Art was a very passionate traveler, he and Brenda explored several countries and continents. He was proud to say he had visited all 50 US States. He loved his family and was always the first to help when someone needed it.
Art was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a generous brother and uncle and a loyal friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Dickensfield Long Term Care (Main B unit) for their love, support and compassion to Art and his family. We truly feel they have been our guardian angles.
A Celebration of Art's Life will be held on Monday February 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530-116 Street in Edmonton with a reception to follow.

I am deeply saddened to have stumbled across this obituary. People you have crossed paths with in life leave imprints, some are good, some not so good. Art left a good imprint on mine, and he treated me real well during his time in the CMC… like family! Our condolences go out to Brenda, Jackie & their family. Please feel free to look us up if you are ever in Kamloops, it would be welcomed!!
