Anna LaVerne McKenzie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my mom, sister, aunt, who passed away on Dec 4/23 after a long battle of cancer at the Gene Zwozdesky Centre, Norwood West.

Anna was born on Oct 15/52 in Edmonton, grew up on a farm near Bon Accord, and after finishing high school in Fort Saskatchewan she moved to Edmonton and studied Business at NAIT. She worked for the TD bank, City of Edmonton, law courts, then sold Avon.

She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Edna, a nephew Bruce, and her sister Joyce (Brando).

She is survived by her son Chris (Lucy), siblings Brian, Dixie, and Jerry (Lena), her niece Mona and nephews Ken, Wesley, Ryan and great nephew Magnus.

Anna loved her pet cats, reading, word puzzles, crocheting, and spending time with Chris, Lucy and her children.

She will be remembered for her quiet, reserved and gentle manner.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Foundation.
