Alojz Ivanc
It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of Alojz Ivanc, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He built a legacy of love, laughter and precious memories.
Alojz leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Lucija (Bozja) Ivanc; his children, Alex (Cathy), Darinka (Shane) Keane, John (Christine), and Angela (Kevin) Moore; his grandchildren, Joseph, Patrick, Thomas, Liam, Michael, Sara, Jacqueline, Matthew, and Riley. He is survived by his brother Kocjan (Edmonton), Stane (Slovenija) and extended families in Slovenia.
He was predeceased by his wife Angela (Hozjan) in 1976, and son Joseph (1968), his parents Marija (Valentincic) and Anton, brothers Anton, Ivan, Joze, France.
Alojz was a respected figure in the construction and carpentry industry, where his art and talent as a finishing carpenter leaves an indelible mark in many homes, businesses, and institutions throughout Edmonton.
Alojz had an appreciation for the gifts in his life. It was evident in everything that he did, from his work ethic, to his stories, to his laughter that filled a room. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Trinity Funeral home, 10530- 116 St NW, Edmonton, on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 09:00 a.m.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Grey Nuns Hospital, Unit 43 for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Cross Cancer Institute.
