Allen Dean Nordholt
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dean Nordholt leaving behind family and many friends.
Dean was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Gail Nordholt, his youngest brother David and most recently, his life partner, Cheryl Schilder, in January/23.
He is survived by his sister Kim Creighton, her husband Rick (nieces Jenine, Dani and Morgan) his brother Dan (niece Regan and nephew Jesse). In addition, Dean is survived by Cheryl’s son Alex and his two sons, Carter and Ryker. Dean had a huge love for dogs and is currently survived by his pal Elmo. Dean was a very social man and also leaves behind a number of very close longtime friends.
Deans working life followed in his father’s footsteps and was always in the floor covering industry. The past 25 years was spent with Goodfellow Inc in Edmonton where he made many close friends and clients.
Dean loved his yard, flowers and most assuredly, his garden which always produces vast amounts of yummy vegetables that he was always willing to share with friends.
Dean was an avid outdoorsman and was introduced to the outdoors by his father , spending the majority of his life hunting and fishing at the family property at Fawcett Lake. His claim to fame was catching a 241 lb Halibut in BC.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the SPCA or Edmonton Humane Society.
Arrangements will be made for a remembrance at a later date.
Dean, no one shared more good times and difficult situations than you and I. Should have been many more. May the moose gods look after you my friend! Gary

So sorry for your loss. I will miss him he has always been such a good friend to me.
Dear Dan, Kim and family. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dean’s passing. He was one of my favourite people in our younger years. He was always had that beautiful “Hollywood smile” go’in on. Last time I saw him was at the 40 year Paul Kane reunion and it was as if no time had passed at all. Will forever cherish all my fond memories of him. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again. Love from Ronaye (aka Tracy T)
Dear Kim I’m not sure if you remember me – I am Trisha Rowe and I met Dean in grade 2. I spent so many times at your home and you use to paint my nails. Dean was one of my favourite people growing up and I have such wonderful memories of your handsome brother who I had such a crush on ! He was funny and kind and we stayed in touch even after I had to move to Vancouver. Your parents even invited me to dinner when you all came to Vancouver for holiday
I’m deeply saddened to read about Dean passing !
I’m not sure how time has past so quickly. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. And know that I will always think fondly of Dean.
