Allan Frank Huber
March 15, 1938 – March 28, 2020
On March 28 Allan Huber, with his son David at his side and his wife and family on face time, passed away peacefully at the age of 82.
Husband of Vivian, his beloved wife of 58 years.
Loving father of David (Diane), Jeffrey ‘Jay’ (Gail) and James ‘JJ’ (Monica).
Proud Grandfather of Braden, Kristen, Jonathan (Paulina), Kaylie (Joshua) Thomas, Marissa (Keiran) Kirk, Colton and Kaitlynn.
Wonderful brother of Douglas (Donna).
Allan was born in 1938 on a small farm outside of Markinch, Saskatchewan to John and Molly.
When Al was a young boy the family moved to Edmonton where they lived in numerous homes until eventually setting roots in the Avonmore community where Al lived until he married in 1961. Al and Viv lived and raised their family in the Ottewell area where they both quickly became involved in the community.
Allan will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving father and grandfather, caring husband, hard worker and admired for his positive attitude and pragmatic approach to everything in life.
Allan was also survived by many loving brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins as well as many other relatives and friends.
Today we have lost a true gentleman, a husband, a father, a friend, a mentor and our HERO.
Due to Covid19 there will be a small family viewing but no formal funeral. There will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.

Sad to hear you all couldn’t be with him in his passing. Love to all. Thinking of you all, Albert, Gloria and Family
I am so saddened by the news of Al’s passing. When I was a young girl, my family (Elenor Powers) would visit John and Molly and their “boys” in Edmonton. If I remember correctly, there was a shuffleboard table in the basement and we would spend hours happily playing shuffleboard. It’s been many years, but I was fortunate to have reconnected with Al and Vivian at a family reunion in Markinch, Saskatchewan a few years back. My deepest condolences to Vivian and the family.
Vivian and Family my deepest sympathy. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time I know what you are going through as I also just went through this just a year ago. I wish I could be there to give you a big hug but that is not possible, but I still will be thinking of you at this time.
To the Huber Family We are saddened by the passing of your beloved Husband,Father & Grandfather we offer our deepest condolences you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time
Sincerely
Clarence,Janet & Leah
