Alice Krawchuk
On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the world lost the kindest and most loving person, Alice Krawchuk, when she peacefully passed away unexpectedly in the Bonnyville Health Centre at the age of 85 years.
Alice will forever be remembered and loved by her husband, Harry Krawchuk, son Gary (Darlene) Krawchuk, daughter-in-law Linda Krawchuk, grandchildren Roberta (Ian) McClurg, Charlene (Chris) Leroux, Bradley (Suzanne) Krawchuk, Alicia (Jason Traxler) Krawchuk, Chris Krawchuk, Bryan (Brittany Knupp) Krawchuk, great grandchildren Hailey, Brendan and Brooke McClurg, Dawson and Mackenzie Leroux, Claira, Ala and Brianne Krawchuk, and Elijah and Gabrielle Stone.
She is predeceased by her parents, John and Rosalee Pankow, sisters Amelia Jasinsky and Ollie Woolard and her son Robert Krawchuk.
Alice was born on May 29, 1937, to John and Rosalee Pankow in the community of Northern Valley, Alberta. Alice and Harry married on November 14, 1953, and settled down to raise their family on a farm near Elk Point, Alberta. She worked in the Elk Point Municipal Hospital for over 35 years until she retired. Nothing was more important to her than making wonderful memories with her family and friends. She was also well known for creating the most delicious perogies and cabbage rolls which kept her busy filling orders for everyone to enjoy.
Anyone who met Alice knows she was a kind and loving person. Her gentle and caring nature brought joy to all those around her, and she reminded us to focus on the positives in life. She truly believed in love, laughter, and having happiness in your heart.
Alice’s wish was to be cremated without holding a ceremony. We miss you and will always love you dearly, Baba.
Dear Family and Friends of Baba Krawchuk , we are so very sorry for the loss of this beautiful soul . Knowing some of Alice’s grandchildren and their loving commitment to her was a testament to what an amazing human she was . May the many beautiful memories you have paint a priceless portrait that will keep her in your hearts forever .
Love and Peace , Gerry and Louise 💜🙏🏻
My deepest sympathies go out to my Uncle Harry for the loss of his wife, cousin Gary for the loss of his mother and cousin Linda for the loss of her mother-in-law I will allways remember my Auntie Alice for her kindness and generosity. Also. I will remember her for one of her many amazing skills in the kitchen such as making a delicious pot of borscht and the making of many delicious desserts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Sorry to hear of Alice’s passing I worked with her many years ago at the Elk Point hospital RIP Alice
