Alice (Ali) Kirkpatrick
In profound sadness, our family announces the passing of Ali, on April 14, 2019. She gave cancer it’s own challenge and did so with her own kind of grace and dignity, and on her own terms. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Carmen Helvert, two grandchildren Daniel and Kayley Helvert, one sister Ida Karain, and such treasured great friends. Predeceased by her twin brother, sister, older brother as well as both of her parents. She wanted the great care she has received at the Grey Nuns and the Cross Cancer Clinic acknowledged and thanks all of the staff especially Dr. Sara Toma.
She will always be remembered for her generosity, love of animals, love of skating, human rights and environmental involvements; although she always has kept her private life exactly that – private. Ali thanks you for your inspiration and caring. May you journey in peace, guided by light and held in love.
In keeping with Ali’s wishes, no service will be held. Her final resting place will be at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in the family plot. Donations may be made to the SPCA or the Cross Cancer Clinic.
Peace Forever Peace.
Alice was a beautiful lady and wonderful Aunt. I recall many family dinners with her and her daughter, my cousin, Carmen when growing up in Alberta. I send my sympathies to the whole family; especially to her daughter Carmen, her grandkids, her sister, Ida and her niece Carrie. She will be missed dearly.
Love, Trish Burton & Family
