Alex Ursulak
Alex Ursulak passed away peacefully on March 27, 2014 at the age of 84 years. He will be missed by Jean, his wife of 58 years, his daughters Judy (Warner) Kunz, Wendy (Jim) Carey, and Marie (Blake) Schulte; grandchildren Stefan, Graham, Adam, Daniel, Colin, and Carmen; and many other relatives and friends. Born to John and Rose (Elchuck) Ursuliak on August 4, 1929,
Alex was raised on a farm near Vegreville with his 17 siblings. At the age of 16 Alex enlisted with the Canadian Forces and joined the Reserves. A natural entrepreneur, he initiated many successful businesses over the years, cumulating in his favourite as an independent truck driver. Alex enjoyed campfires with family and friends, volunteering at Ottewell United Church, drinking a redeye at 4 o'clock, reading the news, and watching the Oilers, the Blue Jays, and Judge Judy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 2nd at Ottewell United Church, 6611- 93A Ave, Edmonton. Viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Following the service family and friends are invited for fellowship and refreshments at the church. Burial to follow at South Haven Cemetery.
