Aldin Leonard Ripka

The family of Aldin Ripka are sad to announce his passing on May 27, 2021 at the age of 77.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn for 53 years, his son Wade, daughters Nadine and Pamela; granddaughter Jessica and grandson Riley. He leaves his brother Ernie, sister-in-law Liz, nephews Todd, Corey and Derek and niece Jamie. He also leaves two aunts and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his father John Ripka and mother Pauline Sorochan.

Aldin enjoyed several years working for the Alberta Transportation of Highways and worked at many different locations of the province. He then became an electrician with Local 424 and spent most of his years working at Fort McMurray. He took time out to go to University and earn his Bachelor of Education degree. He returned to the electrical trade and remained there until his retirement in 2009.

Aldin loved sports and was an avid baseball player in his youth. He also enjoyed golf and ice fishing into his senior years.
