Agnes (Annie) Gammel
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Agnes (Annie) Gammel on April 14, 2021 at the age of 93. She is survived by her children Agnes (Brent), Arlene (Larry), Charles (Cheryl), Terry (Carolyn), Annette (Allan); grandchildren: Matthew, Jenna, Lindsay, James, Michael, Christopher, Jonathan, Daniel, Paul, Megan, Morganne, Samantha, David and many great grandchildren.
Agnes was predeceased by the love of her life, Karl Gammel, her husband of over 60 years. They came to Canada in 1953 and settled in Edmonton to raise their family and build a new life together. Family was very important to Agnes and she enjoyed watching hers grow from her own children through to her great grandchildren. We will always remember her love and care, something she passed down from her own parents.
Agnes was known for her many life stories and that she “never complained” – we will miss these and her sense of humour. She loved flowers, birds (except magpies), and had a special place in her heart for ladybugs. She and Karl were avid travellers and over the years enjoyed returning to see family in Germany and Austria.
We will miss her dearly but remain comforted by our treasured memories.
Love you forever Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma.
There will be no Funeral service due to the current pandemic restrictions, the family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
Dear Agnes, Brent, and extended Family,
We are sending you all heartfelt wishes of condolence to all of your family. Your Mom was a strong example of a good long life and had many happy memories of you all.

My condolences to all the family. I have fond memories, she was like my second mom, she made delicious ox tail soup, she use to bring out rye bread with cream cheese and chocolate milk out to annette and I when we were playing in the backyard. She was a loving caring person with a awesome sense of humor. I no she will be missed very much.
Dear Agnes and Brent,
Our heartfelt sympathies in the loss of your Mom.
May she Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Cathy and Dan Coleman
