Adeline Fauchon
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Adeline Fauchon, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Ade passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 85 years, surrounded by her family.
Ade is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of nearly 62 years, John; her daughters Suzanne Fauchon, Lynn (Stuart) Shydlowski, Nicole (Steve) Vanwieren, and Cindy (Fred) Fonseca; her adored grandchildren Connor, Matthew, Ryan, Benjamin and Analise; her siblings Julian, Phyllis and Jo Ann; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Paranka Lapicki and relatives Myron, Duncan, and Clare.
Ade was born and raised in Mundare, Alberta. She moved to Edmonton where she graduated from the Misericordia School of Nursing. While teaching nursing in Vegreville, Ade met the love of her life and married John on July 27, 1963. After a brief move to Saskatchewan, Ade and John returned to Edmonton where they put all of their love and effort into making their forever home. Ade’s greatest joy was raising her four daughters and later, her grandchildren. Through every story told, trip to the park, hug given, trail walked, and game played, Ade made each one feel like the most loved and cherished child in the world. Ade had a passion for nature and gardening. Time spent with friends and family in her beautifully cultivated gardens brought her great happiness.
A service and interment will take place at a later date to be announced.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at the University of Alberta and Grey Nuns Community Hospitals for their extraordinary care, compassion and efforts to ensure our family was together with Ade in her last days.
Thinking of you all and sending my sincere sympathy.
May Ade RIP.
Blessings and prayers.

My deepest condolences John & Family…I have many fond memories of Adeline when working with her at Savage Clinic & watching your young family grow up in her loving care❤️
Our deepest condolences to John, Suzanne, Lynn, Nicole and Cindy. This was a shock to read this sad news.
We first met the Fauchon family when my dad (John) owned the Gulf Service station at Petrolia. We serviced there cars for years.
Later on I owned an Electrical company Rodway Electric and John and Ade used us faithfully for 30 yrs including work at all the daughter’s homes. In fact I had a key to there Greenfield home for over 15 years.
John and Ade were so proud of there beautiful daughter’s. Whenever I’d arrive at there home to do some work it always included a hot cup of coffee and freshly baked muffin or cookie.
There home was meticulously maintained and the yard was stunning in the summer months with flowers. They were so proud of there yard.
They made me feel like part of their family.
John and Ade worked so hard to provide their daughters with everything possible.
Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. ❤️
We would like to attend the service in the future if you could please let us know the details please. We now live in Kelowna B.C
