On February 17, 2021 God called back one of His bravest angels. Andrzej had a zest for life and He will be dearly, deeply missed by those who knew him. A wonderful father, a loving husband, a loyal friend, an accomplished scientist.
At Andrzej's request a cremation has taken place and no services are to be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new…I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and pictures in frames. Your memory is my keepsake with which I will never part. God have you in His keeping, I have you in my heart…

Hola Ivana: Tú no me conoces, soy Marco González de Colombia. Tuve la fortuna de conocer a Andrzej en 1993 en un curso en la U. de Saskatechewan. Nos hivcimos amigos inmediatamente y luego el estuvo en mi casa en 1995 en Montería Colombia, luego enBogota y la ultima vez nos vimos en Madrid y Pais Vaco, en donde fui su comapñero de habitación . El era una persona extarordinaria, muy alegre, familiar, jocoso, divertido, buen amigo y un exclente cientifico. Su muerte me ha conmovido mucho y espero que Dios lo tenga en su Reino. Mucha fortaleza para ti y su familia. Los quiero mucho.

I and Małgorzata are very sad to hear that the serious illness has now triumphed over Andrzej.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to you, your family and Filip for the sudden death of Andrzej. Your husband and Filip’s father was the best colleague for us.
Andrzej quietly completed his life after a harmonious evening, and we hope that the outpouring of love to his family will help in some small way during this extremely difficult time.
When the fog of these difficult hours clears, we wish you that the memories of Andrzej will be determined by thoughts of happy times, beautiful events and happy hours.

Ivana and Filip our deepest condolences of sudden and unexpected passing of Andrzej. We will always remember Andrzej as a gentle and funny man, full of warm and pleasant personality. He will be remembered in our hearts , as someone who was easy to get along and friendly.

Andrzej był dla dla nas fantastyczną osobą, jakie się często nie spotyka. Twój humor, bezpretensjonalność, mądrość, “positiv thinking” i radość życia, pozostaną na zawsze w naszej pamięci.
Liczyliśmy bardzo, że znowu się spotkamy na Mazurach, a tu nasze spotkanie odbędzie się nieco później i gdzie indziej.

I was going to write in Spanish, but I used to talk with Andrej in English, with some Spanish world inside…
I met you in Madrid, thanks to Ivana, and I have in my mind many beautiful moments to remember: I remember you in Rodríguez San Pedro appartment, in the table next to the kitchen; walking through Argüelles; in a summer party talking to everybody in a funny way; in our appartment seated in the green couch, calling to Ivana and saying: “Ivvvffana”; seated in the dining table eating “jamón” and giving it to our kids, laughing and saying them: “Don´t exagerate!!”…
Just wonderful moments to remember you, Andrej, with a very big smile. I just can say that it has been a pleasure to have you as a friend; we have been very lucky to learn from you how to laugh, how to be open-minded and how to enjoy life all around the World. We will always think of you from Madrid, from Argüelles, which was your place as well.
