Allan Andrew Shenfield
August 29, 1928 - November 5, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Allan Shenfield.
Allan was predeceased by his parents; John and Elaine, as well as siblings; Wendy, Claire (Jack), and Joselyn (Stephanie) and two caring step-mothers; Dorothy and Peg.
He is survived by his wife of 4 days short of 63 years, Maxine, sons; Randy (Kelli), and Kevin, daughter Heather (Brian), and grandchildren; Bobby and Jessica Plourde as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Allan was active in his community, in his church and in many organizations. But his family, especially his two grandchildren, always came first.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan’s name may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Shenfield. He was a great man. Whenever he comes to the restaurant, he is always full of smiles and stories.
All of us at Bings will miss him.
Our deepest condolences to Maxine and the family.

Take care and God bless.
When I came to Spruce Grove 45 years ago Allan was one of the first welcoming hands that reached out to me. Allan was a gem. Condolences to the family for their loss.
Dear Maxine & family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on Allan’s death. He was a remarkable man contributing generously of his time and heart to both his Church and community.
As a family your loss is not measurable. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Allan
Dear Maxine and family, I was honoured to have known Allan. When we were first transferred to Spruce Grove, you welcomed us into your kitchen and made us feel at home.
Later when my life circumstances changed and I began to work for the City of Spruce Grove, Allan continued to befriend me – helping me to maneuver through the historical issues and build relationships with the pioneers of Spruce Grove. I was given a lesson in how to spell “Allan” which I will never forget. Especially since City Hall bears his name!
Deep peace to you and the family. Allan was a remarkable man.
Randy and Family
So sad to hear of your dad’s passing.
Hoping you will have a quick heart healing and fantastic memories of your dad.
As a 4-H member of many years ago, I have many memories of his commitment and involvement in regional 4-H activities – curling bonspiels, public speaking competitions, major 4-H milestones to name but a few. Allan Shenfield was a constant. My mom, through the respect she had for “Mr. Shenfield” taught me a lot about being a ‘team’ player. According to her, he was someone who could be relied upon, someone that would suit up and show up, someone to be trusted.
Many years later, I wish I could have said ‘thank you’ for these lessons.
Instead, please accept my sincere sympathies on the loss of this loved one. And thank you for sharing his skills and energy with so many of us.
Dear Randy and family…thinking if you during this time.
My sympathies to the Shenfield family. Always welcoming and ready to play a game of cards or have a visit! Allan will be missed.
Sincere sympathy to Maxine and family, Allan has left a legacy with all his connections to groups and people. May he rest in peace.
Sorry to learn of Allan’s passing.
He was a dedicated leader and made
all of the communities he served better.
Extending our sympathies and condolences.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful
memories of a life well lived.
So sorry to hear of Allen.s passing. My sincere condolences to you Maxine and all the family. I will keep you all in my prayers.
My Sincere Sympathy to you Maxine and your family. Allan played a big role in our family. My Parents Robert and Ida Wild were great friends . I being a 4-H member learnt many lessons from Allan when he was our leader. Not only was he a leader to me but a great friend, and mentor. He was Mr. Spruce Grove in my eyes and heart. He will be missed by many. Always a fond memory in my heart that I will cherish. He always shared a smile and his never ending love. Joan Streadwick (Wild).
