Jack Fitzsimmons
July 21, 1949 – October 23, 2020
Jack passed away suddenly on his 49th wedding anniversary.
He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and his thirty years of motorcycle trips with his friends the Lemmings.
He loved the outdoors, and his flowers and garden were second to none. He kept meticulous care and attention to his lawn and his strategic magpie control measures.
The thing Jack cherished most in life was family.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife Trudy, his brother-in-law Daryl (Judy) nephews Sam (Katie), and Lucas (Kayla), and his niece Jenny (Cary).
He is also survived by his father Harold, siblings Duane (Irene), Cheryl, and Ron (Melody); his mother-in-law Juanita Wade, sister-in-law Joanne Fox (Dave), and his numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his Mother Margaret.
Jack will be forever loved and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
In lieu of a funeral a small family gathering has taken place.
What a loving tribute to Jack.

He was always the one with the quick smile and being supportive of his family and friends. (mostly Eagles who probably needed it)
DISTURBED TO HEAR OF JACKS PASSING. MY NAME IS LENNY GREW AND SAW THE JAKESTER AT THE PUB FOR A PINT AS WELL AS YOU THE ODD TIME TRUDY. I FIND IT LOVINGLY IRONIC JACK AND THE GOOD LORD CHOSE THIS DAY . I AM SURE THERE IS SOME SURREAL SOLICE IN THIS. I SAY THESE WORDS FROM MY HEART AND WITH THE DEEPEST RESPECT THAT ONE CAN GIVE. Jack and I worked together both at EDTEL and at TELUS as well. Jack was always one to share a good story, a good/bad joke and loved talking about his motorcycle and fishing trips. Jack was a fun guy to be around, he had a passion for “doing a job well done” and never shied away from taking on a tough task. He was someone that you could count one. He will be missed and always remembered as friend and someone you were proud to call a friend and a compatriot.

So sorry to hear of Jack’s passing – my heart goes out to you.
Please convey our sincere condolences to Trudy and relatives on the passing of husband Jack Our long time neighbour left us much to soon . Jack kept a well groomed lawn and grew an annual row of marigolds with the largest
blossoms in town .He leaves behind a beacon of light his decorated tall evergreen with a silver giant star at the peak Lit up every festive season. It is lit up now to brighten the neighborhood during these pandemic days

Another one of our great buddies from NAIT and Telus gone too soon. I remember Jack with his most pleasing disposition and huge hair at NAIT as well as his super smile and we can’t forget his moustache.
