Elizabeth Anne (Bette) Matheson (Hlus) nee Mokrey
Elizabeth Anne (Bette) October 21, 1940 formerly of Innisfree passed away peacefully at home in Edmonton on August 4, 2020 surrounded by family.
She was predeceased by her mother Annie, father Joe, sister Vi Pshyk, brothers William and Victor, Nephew's Brian and Dave Mokrey, Rick Pshyk , Niece Margy Lien and first husband Orest Hlus.
She leaves to mourn her husband Ken Matheson, stepsons Kent (Bonnie and Audrey) and Todd, nieces Terri Caeser and Beverly Glowach (Alec) and nephew Curtis Mokery.
Bette attended the U of A and had a very successful forty year career in Pharmacy.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
Our condolences go to Ken. A former classmate at Innisfree, we enjoyed Betty and Ken’s company at Sunbird.

Bette was a wonderful person. I knew Bette for more than forty years and always admired her strength of character, professionalism, and kindness to others.
She was a very dear friend and I will always treasure her friendship and will remember the many good times I spent with you and Bette. She was a very brave and courageous woman.
She will be sadly missed by all of us who have had the privilege of knowing her.
My sincere condolences to the family. She was the gold standard in everything she touched…an amazing person and an outstanding leader. It was a genuine pleasure working for her for over 20 years. The world is better because of her.
