James Paul Affolter
On January 11, 2020 James Paul Affolter of Beaumont Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 73.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Jim leaves to mourn two children: daughter Shannon (Russ) Coulombe of Beaumont, son Aaron (Joanna) Affolter of St. Albert; five grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Jace, Brett, Anna, Kayla and Angela; father Hans (Mavis) Affolter; three sisters: Joan Johnston, Adele Mackay and Betty Hansen and one brother Tim (Alicia) Affolter.
Jim was predeceased by his loving wife Gail Affolter. We take comfort knowing that they are now happily reunited and will be watching over the family together with love. Jim was also predeceased by his Mother Marjorie McLeod as well as his two brothers in law: John Mackay and Rick Hansen.
The family invite you to a celebration of Jim’s Life on Tuesday January 21, at 2:00 PM at the Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre (11834 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton Alberta)
The family will be having a private family interment in the Edson Cemetery at a later date.
The family wishes to acknowledge, with deep appreciation, the many expressions of love, kindness and support shown to us during this time of bereavement.
So many memories of my big brother. When he was 10 he became the man of the house. He mentored us and taught us to be who we are. I’m forever grateful ♥️
I’m happy that he is with his soulmate and love of his life, Gail.
Deepest condolences to Shannon and Aaron and your families.
Rest In Peace dearest brother.
Aaron and Joanna. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Keep all of his memories close to Heart and he will always be with you. Hugs to you and the girls.
I’ll miss my big brother for as long as I live. He was a kind, caring and generous person and was loved by all who knew him. Our family is poorer for this loss, but richer for having had Jim in our lives. Rest in peace, dear brother. I love you.
A life time of memories, to all that knew Jim, is what we are left with.
Jim was a great guy, who touched the soul of everyone, that had the pleasure to know him.
Condolences goes out to everyone, that were lucky enough to know him, in this life, as Jim touched so many people and he will be extremely missed.
