Antonio Barbosa Carreiro

July 9, 1937 - September 24, 2019

Antonio “Tony” Barbosa Carreiro, loving Son, Father and Husband, passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at the age of 82.

Antonio’s memory will continually be cherished by his beloved wife of 55 years, Fatima; his son Victor (Tammy); daughters Betty and Priscilla (Jason); grandchildren: Justin, Danielle, Ashley, Kyia, Marc, Helaina and Jack; his brother Bill (Betty); sisters: Beatrice (Henrique), Maria de Jesus (Antonio), Conceicao (Jose), Elvira, Leonore (Frank), Maria de Deus (Ray), brother-in-law Joao as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Emilia; his brother Manuel (Flairene) and his first-born son William (Maria).

Antonio was born July 09, 1937 in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal to Antonio Brum da Costa and Emilia Branca (Barbosa) Carreiro. He was the oldest of 9 children. Antonio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He will fondly be remembered for his lighthearted and joking nature as well as his contagious smile.
