Victor Cardinal
Born June 11, 1935 – Brownsburg Quebec
Died August 15, 2019 – Edmonton Alberta
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Cardinal at the age of 84.
Left to mourn are his wife Anne, 3 children Rick (Laurie), Ron (Joan) and Dawna (Barry) as well as 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Vic is also survived by his siblings, Simone, John (Vi), Paul (Lee), Jeanine, and Denise (Bernie). Vic was previously deceased by his parents Joe & Eva, his sister Helene and brother-In-law’s Cam and Ron. He also had numerous nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly.
Vic had a love for his family and enjoyed having a beer or two with them. As Vic’s dad always said, you only ever have two beer, the first and the last, the rest in between don’t count. Vic enjoyed working and he especially loved working at Celanese Canada where he retired in 1999. He made many lifelong friends in his career.
Travelling to Mazatlan was one of the highlights of Vic’s life. A winter vacation spot for 35 years. Vic didn’t hate much but he did hate winter! You never know, he might be there right now having a beer.
Join us in celebrating his life on Saturday August 24 at 11:00 a.m. St. Matthews Church 13131 – 86 St. NW. Edmonton, Alberta
In Lieu of Flowers, Donations can be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation

Our family will miss this man. Our father, father-in-law, grandpa and great-grandpa. We raised a toast to you last night from Francos. Love you from Rick and Laurie and family
My sincere condolences, Vic was a lovely man and a lot of fun. He will be missed by many. I enjoyed plenty of pints with him at Franco’s. Worked with him at Celanese for 7 year.
Uncle Vic,
We will miss you dearly. Your love for your family was always felt and the love for you was truly shown this past week. Family bonded together and reminisced about the good times. A celebration of life was had. Gone but never forgotten. You will always be in our hearts and memories!
Anne and family I am so sorry for your loss. I am Dave from Beausejour, friend of Betty and Fred, and I visited with you many times at the Linda Mar in Mazatlan. RIP Vic.
Anne & family, such sad news that we just heard. Our sincere condolences go out to all of you.
Rip brother Vic. I will miss you dearly and you will be forever in my heart. It truly was a blessing to have you for a big brother. You helped mom & dad raise your two longest sisters. I will be forever grateful for the time we spent together. I will drink a beer or two for you when I am in Mazatlan, I enjoyed all of our visits throughout the years and drinking a beer or two. We didn’t count the ones in between.
Rest easy Vic. You are now reunited with your family that have passed before you. Love you forever. Hugs and prayers for your eternal rest. xxx
