Angela Jahnke (nee Stephan)
June 9th 1959 - May 19th 2019
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Jahnke at the age of 59 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Angela is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob), son Jamie, daughter Melissa Johnston (Jeff) and grandsons Jai and Karter. Angela is also survived by her 5 siblings; Monika Anders (Seth), Wolfgang Stephan (Karen Hay), Bernd Stephan, Edeltraud Stephan (Billy Dixon) and Andreas Stephan as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Angela was predeceased by her mother Waltraud in February 2013 and father Bruno in December 2000.
Angela loved to be creative and made so many beautiful pieces of art. Anything from baby blankets to wall art to crocheted dish cloths and hair scrunchies. All will be forever cherished. She enjoyed singing and playing bingo with her dearest friends. Angela always looked forward to celebrating traditions and eating food from the fatherland as her papa used to say. One of Angela's favourite pastimes was performing with the Calmar Prairie Players community theatre troupe.
Her contagious smile, laugh and voice will be forever missed by all (so very many).

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of this dear mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I grew up with Angela and her sister Edeltraud in Red Deer and often think of some of the fun times we had. I will cherish those memories forever. May all of you find comfort in the happy memories of your Life together. She will forever be in your hearts.

She took me as her adopted daughter she kept me feeling so safe spend everyday with her I always had her my stay at the hospital she will forever be my mama ? I love and miss her forever I’m so sorry to Bob and her daughter and son. I can’t believe this I’m so heartbroken she was such a amazing woman.
