Bridget, Richard and Mathew, we are so sorry to hear about your Dad’s death. Losing a parent is always difficult. Remember the good times that is what will stay with you. Love Jane Keith Sarah and David
Our family was also saddened to hear about Leo’s death. We had many good times over the years with the Kissau family, and the cousins still have a special connection today. May your happy memories help heal you all at this time:)
Sorry for your loss. I will miss Leo.
Leo …..I played for German Choir rehearsal Thursday morning and still expected you to come walking in for rehearsal…..and I still “see” you in the very back pew where you would often sit and stay after German choir to listen to me teach the Gusdal girls. I drove to Capilano Walmart where I would often see you: you regularly took the bus there and back. As many people have said you were often the first that really welcomed them to TLC + took the time to listen to people’s stories. Thank you for being my regular welcoming committee! Thanks for patiently speaking German with me…for sharing our mutual interest and love of music and for our regular silent/unspoken/ anonymous sharing of gifts. I’d leave you a chocolate or giant cookie in your mailslot for your birthday or for Christmas and then days later I’d find eine Kleinigkeiten auf der Orgel: so nochmal, danke ich dir. Wenn kommt die Gemeinde in der Kirche, du warst immer wieder da. You would be in the Atrium playing your accordion welcoming them. I wonder if you are sitting at the gates of heaven now, once again playing your accordion, welcoming folks into heaven. “Well done good and faithful servant.”
My heart goes out to all of you. It is so hard to lose your dad and grandpa, no matter how grown up you are.
Dear Cousins,
We are so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I have many fond memories of Uncle Leo during your Summer visits to Victoria and ours to St. Albert. Wishing peace for all of you during this sad time. Lots of love,
Celine and Sam and the boys
