Ronald Kevin Pickwick
June 4, 1954 – March 8, 2019
Ron passed away peacefully in his sleep. Ron will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his Father, Rudy; Mother, Charlotte; and Brother, Larry. Ron's free spirit will be missed by all his Aunts, Uncles, numerous cousins, and friends. Ron also had a very special place in his heart for his goddaughters and they too miss him dearly. He was a kind and compassionate man and always took the time to share his wisdom with others.
Ron had an undeniable zest for adventure and passion for life. Ron was avid outdoorsman that loved to fish, hunt, and tell his related stories. Ron will join his family at Rudy Creek where they loved to fish.
Ron was first and foremost an environmentalist and a forester. He truly encouraged everyone to take care of the environment and enjoy all that it had to offer. As such, in lieu of flowers, we would invite those who wish to honour Ron with purchasing trees in his name https://www.alivingtribute.ca/

Hi Doug this Genie ! Sad to know that Ron passed away. Condolence to the family just i know today .Here is my number 7807104544 i would like to keep in touch. Say hi to everybody!
Doug, just learned of Ronnie’s death today. Predeceased by mother father and Larry. Shocked to say the least. Can’t help but wonder if you are the Doug Cooper that lived directly from us on 89th Street. The Garon’s. My sister Pat would’ve been about the same age as you and your brother John close to me.
Hi Doug. Brian again. Just realized my mistake. It was Herb who was close to Pat in age. You were the kid brother right?
Hi Brian,
Yes kid brother. Remember you and Patsy. Thanks for reaching out.
Doug
I have only just found this obituary online. I’m so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing and I send my sincere condolences to his family.
Ron and I have passed through each other’s lives from time to time since we were teenagers. Such fine memories! Sadly, we lost touch with each other quite a number of years ago.
I would really appreciate hearing from his next of kin and get information where I could find him and pay my respects.
Thank you
Hi Shirley,
Ron’s cremains are scattered near Edson, along with the rest of his family, at a creek he fished since childhood .
Doug
Hi Doug
Thank you! I’m very grateful for this information.
I can visit Edson in the spring. I’m assuming this creek was named by the family after Ron’s Dad.
There are many to choose from there where I can sit and reflect. He was a wonderful man.
Thanks again… really appreciated.
Shirley
Just saw this. Horrible news. I grew up just down the street from the Pickwicks and was friends with both Larry and Ronnie. I remember Rudy (WWII Vet, fanatic about his lawn) and Charlotte (went to work at Rexall when the boys got older). Spent countless days at their house. Deepest condolences from the Garon’s.
