James Harold (Jim) Sheridan

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of James Harold Sheridan (Jim), on April 7 after a 5-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Jim was born in Tisdale, SK, where he enjoyed his early years. In July of 1969, the family moved to Nipawin, SK, where Jim entered high school. He often joked that he should have been at Woodstock that summer. Jim lived in Nipawin until 1990, during which time he married and had two children, Tyler in 1980 and Felicia in 1984.

In the fall of 1990, Jim moved his family to Fort Saskatchewan, where he had obtained a position at Welcome Ford. He worked there until the early 2000’s. In 2006, he married his current wife, Faye. Jim enjoyed his retirement with activities such as fishing, hunting, volunteering at his church, and visiting with his sisters and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Grant and Gladys. He leaves behind his wife Faye, his children Tyler and Felicia, his granddaughter Shelby, and his sisters Lorna Brick (Jim Metherell) of Lashburn, SK, Joan Harder of Nipawin, SK, and Carol Ann Sorensen (husband Kurt) in Denmark, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  Also several life long friends.

Jim's family—his kids, granddaughter (best thing that ever happened to him), sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews—and friends were the most important things in the world to him. He cherished and loved them all deeply.

A celebration of life will be held on April 19 at 2 pm at the First United Church in Fort Saskatchewan (10409 100 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, AB).
