Robert ‘Bob’ McKenzie King
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert 'Bob' King of Edmonton, Alberta. Robert 'Bob' passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025 at the age of 81 years.
Bob was born in Regina, Sask., grew up in Manitoba from a young age, and later on moved to Edmonton. After completing his machinist training at N.A.I.T., he worked in the oilfield industry where he made many lifelong friendships over the years. Bob was known as a hardworking and skilled machinist, well respected in his trade, and for many years he owned and ran his own machine shop, B.K. Machine & Mfg. Ltd. He enjoyed golfing, skiing, and other sports throughout his life, as well as watching hockey, football and curling. Travelling was one of Bob's favourite activities with adventures taking him and his wife to many parts of the world. In recent years he enjoyed going for long walks in the neighbourhood where he lived. Those familiar with Bob know that he was generous and giving, always willing to help others.
He will be greatly missed and remembered by his wife of 54 years, Noella. Also left to mourn are many loving in-laws, and friends.
A small private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
