Moses Idah passed away peacefully on the evening of March 11, 2025 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.  Born April 3, 1959 in Oyinyi, Nigeria to Adoga and Otelahu Idah.

Moses came to Canada on a Scholarship in 1982 and studied Animal Science at Lethbridge University. Upon graduation he settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba to further his studies at the University of Manitoba where he earned a Bachelor of Education and Master’s degree.  There he met his wife Jackie.

Upon graduation they moved to The Pas, Manitoba where Moses worked for the local community college and then moved to Saskatchewan as the Executive Director of the local community college.

In 1989 they moved to Edmonton, Alberta and have made it home for the past 26 years. Moses' final career stop was at SCMA (Supply Chain Management Association - Alberta).

Being active Moses loved golf, Soccer and going for walks.

Moses is survived by his loving wife Jackie of 39 years, brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and numerous friends which formed part of the family.

Moses positive outlook, unwavering love for family and friends will never be forgotten. Moses was loved deeply, and he will be dearly missed as a wonderful husband, uncle and friend.

A celebration and farewell service will be held on March 25, 2025 at 1pm at the Beulah Alliance Church, 17504 98A Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta.

  2. I am deeply sorry for the loss of Moses – he was such a special soul, loved by so many for his wisdom and humour. May you cherish all the wonderful memories you shared with him. My heart and prayers are with everyone he held dear and considered family.
