Justyna Szwed

Justyna Szwed lived with an open heart and an unstoppable energy that made every moment brighter. She knew that life was about giving. Her kindness, generosity, and laughter were gifts she shared freely with everyone she met. If you needed a friend, a helping hand, or just a reason to smile, Justyna was always there.

Born in Glasgow, Poland, Canada became her home in 1992. She had a natural gift for making friends wherever she went, turning simple moments into treasured memories. After graduating high school in 2003, she pursued her passion for event planning, earning her certification from NAIT in 2010. She was predeceased by her father Ryszard Szwed. Left to carry on her love and light are her two cherished daughters Zoe and Abby Russell, and her beloved mother Wieslawa Szwed. She will forever be remembered by her siblings Magdalena Szwed and Joanna McKay, brothers-in-law Talby McKay and Adam Szwed, as well as her niece Sierra McKay, and nephews Oden McKay and Dominic Cassie.

Justyna was always up for an adventure, camping, road tripping, pulling her wagon to the beach, or even just making an ordinary day feel special. She loved to dance, celebrate, and create. If something was broken, she'd fix it; if something needed a little sparkle, she'd add gold and glitter. And when she laughed, she really laughed - it was the kind of laugh that filled the whole room and made everyone join in, sometimes leading her to say "Oh God, I peeped myself!"

Above all, Justyna was love. She loved fully, deeply, and without limits. She gave the best, warmest hugs - the kind that made you feel safe, loved, and like you were exactly where you were meant to be.

She leaves behind countless friends and loved ones, all of whom will say without hesitation, "I'm her best friend." Because with Justyna, you always felt like family.

She will be missed beyond words, but her love, laughter, and light will stay with us forever.
