Wendy Alice Siverns (née Crocker)
Wendy Siverns (Grandma Wendy)
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who passed away February 23, 2025 at the age of 71. Surrounded by her loving family, she departed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
A woman of strength, loyalty, compassion, and humility, Wendy shared these qualities with all those who surrounded her. She also shared feistiness, stubbornness and a sense of humour that provided the perfect balance to her character – one that anyone who spent time with her came to love and appreciate.
She will be forever remembered by her son Jason (Gilleane) and her daughter Bobbi-Jo (Todd); her grandchildren, Annaliese, Breanna, Caleia, Hunter and Morgann (Derek); her siblings Brenda, Robert, Karen, Stephen (Patricia), Melanie (Angelo) and James (Michele); her many nieces and nephews and her amazing community of friends.
Her community of friends and caregivers fueled a vitality in her that we loved to witness. From setting tables, walking with residents, taking care of pups or doing a little dance, she came to life and felt a sense of purpose in her new home. With this, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to Elizabeth for the kindness and care shown to our mother in her greatest time of need.
Wendy was predeceased by her husband Richard; her parents Laura and Henry and her sister Joanne.
As a family, we will be planning a celebration of life once the weather warms and the family can be together to celebrate – likely celebrating her birthday.
In lieu of flowers, Wendy would wish you to consider a donation to Cerebral Palsy Alberta. While not a condition she personally had to manage, it is one near and dear to her heart.
