Jessie Herron Sveinson (nee Campbell)

 Jessie was born on October 31, 1933, in Englehart, Ontario. She passed away on January 10, 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta. Jessie spent most of her life in Edmonton.

Jessie (Bunty to her family) grew up in Kenora, Ontario, second daughter of David and Margaret Campbell. After high school she completed her nurses' training at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She worked as a registered nurse in several cities, becoming head nurse on the floor in Edmonton General Hospital and retired after approximately 40 years of service.

Jessie married John Sveinson, also of Kenora, on June 8, 1963, in Winnipeg. They both loved to travel, and took numerous trips to Hawaii. They enjoyed many winters in Arizona together. Jessie was a skilled seamstress, always sporting the latest fashion which she had sewn herself.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband John after 58 years of marriage. Also by her parents, David and Margaret Campbell, and sister Margaret Baker.

She is survived by her sister Catherine Baker (John), several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and internment to be held in Lake of the Woods cemetery in Kenora. A memorial will be held in the summer when friends and family can gather to remember Jessie.
