The world has lost a bright light. A man who was always grateful, strived to be kind and made the best of every situation. His love and need to provide for his family will never be forgotten.
A special thanks to the staff at the Sturgeon Hospital and the University of Alberta Palliative team for their care and attention to George during his stays.
George was a very loving caring person, we lost a good person. He was loved. Rest in peace George.
Lord, this is George. I heard you calling me and in very humble way I responded. Thank you for allowing me to be in your divine presence. I thank you for the life you have giving. Must of all thank you for my beautiful wife and children. Now that you have come up the heavens, thank you for the opportunity to keep loving them, protect them, guide them from up here. They are the love of my life on earth and the love for ever and ever from here in heaven. To you my darling wife, rest assure that I will wrap you with my wings of love. To our children they will protected and loved. I have come ahead to prepare a place for when the time comes around it will be ready for a great eternity together. I love you and all ways will.
Sorry for losing a Special member of the Fehr Family. Glad we were able to visit George & Cynthia in early November
I will miss George and his down to earth, folksy, humour filled, stories. He was a good friend.
George will dearly be missed by all who were blessed to know him, even those who knew him from afar. I only have a few memories of George, always cheerful and joking and kind.
What make me feel I knew George well was that my dad ( John Fehr) were more than cousins, the were really good friends. My dad spoke often to me about George and how he loved getting together with George and Cindy. My dad spoke so highly of George, he will dearly be missed. Our family’s thoughts and prayers are with Cynthia and her family.
My deepest condolences to Cynthia and all the Fehr family.
I will never forget how when in our younger years after not having seen George for some years he found his way back to chumming with some of my brothers and we all got together for a rip roaring baseball game in Ft. Whyte, close to Winnipeg, a place that has since burned down. George was first baseman when I was on bat. I made a good hit and ran off to first base. Not sure exactly how we managed to run into each other, but we did. It was a doussy, nearly knocked me out. He was very apologetic. I always smile when I think about that.
Where ever you are, George, keep on smiling! ?
