Maien Khullar

Maien Khullar, 66, died after a brief illness on April 11, 2024.

She is survived by her two children Aaron and Evan, her sister Ritu (Rob) nephews Samir, Nikhil, and Devanand, and many cousins including Anu and Annie.

She is predeceased by her father Jitendra (Jeet), mother Pritam, and sister Renu.

Born in India she came to Canada at age 3. She lived in Alberta all her life except for three very memorable years in Jamaica. Maien always walked her own path in life and was true to herself.

She was a spiritual person and never lost her connection to her Indian roots. She found comfort and strength in non-western religious, medical and life practices. She shared these passions with many like-minded fellow travellers through the course of her life. She was also passionate about cultivating both a beautiful garden and personal relationships within her communities in which she
thrived.

Maien will be remembered by the influence she had on those she loved and those who love her.

Although her greatest passion was always her sons.

Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced.
