It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arnold Berry of Edmonton. Arnold left us peacefully on November 9, 2024, at the age of 82 years.

Born in Innisfail he moved to Edmonton with his wife and young family to pursue his lifelong career in the plumbing industry. After retirement, Arnold loved to keep himself busy with a variety of hobbies and his passion of starting tomatoes and flowers in his greenhouse for his yard and for family and friends. Arnold will be remembered for his story telling and humor as well as being incredibly generous with his time to help anyone, anytime.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Ann, his children Crystal (Michel), Rod (Debbie), Darren (Michelle) and Jared (Kimberly) and his grandchildren Evan, Carson, Karissa and Nathan.

The family will have a private celebration of Arnold’s life at his final resting place in Innisfail, AB at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends can make a donation to a charity of their choice.

  1. It is with great sadness hearing of Arnold’s passing. Sending heartfelt condolences from our family to yours. We will always remember Arnold for his kindness and generosity. He had amazing gardening skills and generously shared his tomato plants and homemade salsa with us. Arnold made an impact on everyone he met and he will be truly missed.

  2. Ann and the Berry Family
I extend my sincere condolences. I first met Arnold when he was 15 years old on Christmas Eve. Arnold and his father delivered a new black and white TV to our family farm outside of Innisfail—a surprise gift from our parents. Many years later I married and when my husband and I moved to Grovenor, I was surprised to find that Arnold and Ann lived in the house directly across the street from us. We were neighbours for 50 years.

When my husband passed away and when I had major surgery, Arnold and Ann offered their support in many kind and thoughtful ways. As Christmas approaches, I have many fond memories of the beautiful light decorations that Arnold arranged in his front yard every year.

    My deepest sympathy,

    Judy Michiel
