Linda Marie Fry

May 26th, 1947 – October 14th, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Marie Fry. She lost her fight October 14th, 2024, at the age of 77 after battling many lengthy health issues. She passed peacefully surrounded by family.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Howard of 40 years, her son Keith Selevich (daughter in-law Leanne) and her daughter Heather Cabral (son in-law Mark).

She was a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren Ethan, Dylan and Kaitlyn.

She also leaves behind her brother Dave (Pauline-passed), sister Karen (Denis), and sister Colleen (Gary), along with all her nieces and nephews and close friends who were dear to her heart.

She enjoyed travelling alongside her loving husband Howard. She particularly loved cruising as this gave them a way to explore so many new places. She also loved a good games night or afternoon playing cards with good friends.

Linda was a passionate reader, she loved getting lost in her books. She was also very creative, keeping busy with needle point, sewing, knitting and quilting. She was a very talented quilter and received so much joy from giving her beautiful blankets, throws and runners to family and friends.

Mostly, she took pride in her grandchildren’s successes. She loved watching them in all their activities and hearing of their achievements.

She tried so hard, in all she did and loved so many in the lifetime she had. She will deeply be missed by all.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, the University of Alberta Hospital and lastly but most recently Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert for all their compassion and care.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke or Diabetes Foundations.

Service will take place Friday, October 25th, 2024 at 2:00pm at St. Charles Catholic Church 17511 112 Street NW, Edmonton, AB
