We mournfully announce the passing of Linda Jean Marie Tourond on the evening of September 8th, 2024, at the age of 64. Linda's final moments were spent exactly as she wished—peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda leaves behind her beloved husband and friend of 25 years, Robert Tourond, and her cherished children: Charley, Adam, Jessica, Angela (husband Kurtiss) and Curtis (wife Arianna). She is also survived by her ex-husband, Cory, the father of Curtis, Angela, Jessica, and Adam. She was a proud grandmother to Alyssa (fiancé Matt), Iain, Aryka, Kayla, Avery, Luca, Sophia, and Asher, and a delighted great-grandmother to Elliott. Additionally, Linda is survived by her closest friend and sister, JoAnne, and her brothers, Peter, and Paul. Linda also leaves behind a wide circle of other family members and close friends who were dear to her heart.

With a career spanning over 35 years in sales, Linda was well respected and admired by her colleagues for her dedication and integrity. Beyond her professional achievements, Linda's true passion lay in the joys of life: friends, family, and wine. She was the heart of every gathering, a guiding light of wisdom, and the warmth in every conversation. Linda's zest for life was unmatched; she was always the first to try something new, approaching every experience with enthusiasm and “joy”.

A celebration of her life will be held on October 15th, 2024, at 1 PM at the Chateau Louis Hotel, 11727 Kingsway NW, Edmonton AB, followed by refreshments. For those traveling and staying at the hotel, there is a discount on rooms. Additionally, the hotel’s piano bar will be open on Monday evening, so people can gather and connect the night before the event. We invite all those whose lives were touched by Linda to join us in honoring her remarkable spirit.

Linda's legacy of love and laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but remembered always.

  1. Condolences to all of Linda’s family. I knew Linda through CAFP (Can Association of Foodservice Professionals) meetings as a guest with her sister Joanne, and we always enjoyed her presence. Sending big hugs, Lilian Button
