Gwen Dalton Chisholm
April 21, 1961 – October 24, 2018
Gwen passed away in hospital in Edmonton. Typically she was strong and determined until the end.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Erica Chisholm and siblings: Ronalda (Bob) McDonald, Mary (Peter) Lowes, Al (Madelene) Dalton, Marg (Brian) Goldie. Eileen Dalton, Charlie (Rose) Dalton, Tony (Michelle) Dalton, Pauline (Allen) Spinney, John (Laura) Dalton and Monica (Adrian) Syms as well as her supportive friend Bill Papineau, aka Basement Bob.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Genevieve Dalton, sisters Waneta and Laura Lee and brother Douglas.
Gwen was born and grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia and lived her adult life in Edmonton. Gwen was irreverent and scrappy with a wonderful soft heart. She was your friend for life.

We got to know Gwen through our friend Monica Syms. Gwen always had us laughing before we parted ways and she will be sincerely missed. Our hearts go out to Erica, her daughter; our friend Monica, her sister; our new friend Pauline, her sister and to the rest of her family. Always cherish those sweet memories of Gwen for comfort in your time of grief and know, she of all people would rather you laugh than cry.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Gwen’s passing. Thinking of her daughter during this terrible time and the rest of the Dalton family. Another friend gone too soon.
Growing up on Cabot Street Gwen and I spent many days playing together. Although we hadn’t seen each other in the recent years I will always remember her fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and may fond memories of Gwen give them comfort in the days to come. Rest in peace dear friend. You will alway be remembered.

I can’t express how sad I was to hear about Gwen’s passing. We always chatted (not often enough) about the good old days on Cabot Street. Lots of wonderful memories. Erica your Mom was a strong lady so find that strength. Family was very important to her and you have a big one. Call on them they will be there. Gwen will give them CRAP if they don’t. My THOUGHTS and PRAYERS are with you and the whole Dalton family. BIG LOSS!!!!!!

So saddened to hear of Gwen’s passing. We all grew up on Cabot St. and our families were so close.Gwen was one of the younger Dalton children so I didn’t know her as well. However I am sending my deepest condolences to her daughter Erica and the rest of her family. My prayers are with you all at this sad time.

I am so glad that I got to see and visit Gwen when she first went into the hospital. One never expects this outcome but that you will be seeing her again. My condolences to her daughter and all the dalton family. Terrence rankin
We are deeply sorry and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Gwen and offer our condolences to her daughter Erica and family. We have know Gwen for the past 12 years and will always remember her as a very strong and capable woman, with a wonderful smile and laugh, which we still see and hear today.
