Dennis James Rolls
Dennis James Rolls valiantly completed his mortal journey here on earth on August 17, 2024. Diagnosed with cancer nearly 2 years ago, it was a miracle that, except for the last 4 1/2 months, he remained healthy enough to enjoy many rich experiences and leave nothing unsaid. He leaves a big footprint behind, one of genuine love and service for all who knew him.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Brenda; sons, Jonathan and Joshua Rolls; daughter, Jessica Rolls; and stepchildren, Jaime (Casey) Beazer, Jackie (Jesse) Flexhaug, Jordan (Julie) Rice, and Justin (Megan) Rice. He dearly loved his 14 beautiful grandchildren and they loved him right back. Abby Vandette, Deanna Rolls; Brody, Cache, Easton Beazer; Cade, Jenna, Ally, Jace Flexhaug; Austen, Rowen, Colten Rice; Blakely and Sienna Rice. He also leaves behind his 4 siblings Deb (Mark) Tinney, Greg (Mary Ann) Rolls, Cliff (Shielia) Rolls, and Dave Rolls. Additionally, he leaves behind his mother and father-in-law, Ross and Marie Jensen and their family, along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and many, many cherished friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ross Arthur Rolls and his mother, Sylvia (Bryson) Guenther and “bonus brother” John Saguitch.
Dennis was highly regarded by so many because of his interest in others and his generosity. He was an excellent carpenter who loved creating. One of his greatest joys in this life was serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officially and unofficially. He loved sharing his testimony and love for his Saviour, Jesus Christ and wanted others to experience the same happiness that he had found. Those he left behind cherish the many precious experiences and memories they shared with him, which will keep him close in their hearts.

It was a privilege and blessing being Dennis’ family physician all these years. What an amazing man! I admire his faith and courage. We had many great conversations. When the specialists only gave him a few months to live, he told me he still had a lot to do, and through sheer faith, belief and will, he managed to stretch it out an extra 2 years! I trust he shared those messages with whom he needed to.
I have no doubt that he has now gone on to be with the Lord, and we will see him again one day. Prayers of peace and comfort to his family. Treasure his words and your experiences with him.
You made his journey so much better by your faith conversations. What hope we have, thank you for your kind, compassionate care!
My family and I had the privilege of knowing Dennis and his lovely wife Brenda. Dennis was a man of humility and meekness and exemplified the wonderful attributes of Christ. He was always willing to lend a hand or ear and loved the gospel and missionary work. He helped me move when I was going through a difficult time in my life and I always enjoyed our conversations that were centered on family and the gospel. He and Brenda were one of the first people to comfort and console us when lost our son and gifted us beautiful pictures of him that we love and cherish. Yes you are gone Dennis but certainly not forgotten. Your impact and influence on me and many others can not be measured. Rest now in peace in Paradise and we will ill see you again soon!
We love your family and he is missed but I like to think he is already anxiously engaged in the work. Thank you!
I had the beautiful privilege of knowing Dennis in his final last months of his journey here on earth. How grateful i am to have known him, heard his wisdom, and felt his peace. I loved hearing his stories and his passion for genealogy. I got a glimpse into how much he loved his family, and watched them surround him in love in those finals days and weeks. His hugs were filled with authentic love. And I will never forget him, nor Brenda They have profoundly impacted my life, and i will forever remember our three months of time together. Dennis you are so loved.
We love you so much, not an accident you came into our lives xo
