Bruce Arthur Anderson
It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of Bruce Arthur Anderson, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. On May 29, 2024 his short battle with cancer ended. Carrying on his legacy are his wife Lynn, daughter Lindsay Heemeryck (David), daughter Kirsten McOuat (Jonathan), son Jared (Jeanette) and his six grandchildren Brianna & Logan Heemeryck, Wyatt & Brynlee McOuat and Ila & Evelyn Anderson. He also leaves behind his mom Muriel Millicent (Millie) Anderson, his sisters Wendy Coulson (Dave) and Kerry Campbell (Gary), his brother Clayton Anderson (Terry), his sister-in-law Vicky Anderson. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Eileen Abrams, sisters-in -laws and brother -in-laws Leslie and Rainor Webb and John and Ev Abrams. Along with numerous nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Louis Everett Anderson, his brother Robert Fredrick Anderson and father-in -law Merton Albert Abrams.
Bruce was a man of integrity, generosity and a role model for many. He served his family and community selflessly, never asking how to help but when. His network was vast as his 40 years in real estate appraising saw him meet and work with many community residents and businesses. He lived for his family and was our number one fan. Bruce was strong and brave, the pillar of our family and our real life superhero. We will do as Bruce/Dad always has, move forward in love…
In lieu of gifts, we ask that donations be made to help fund research for esophageal cancer at Canadian Cancer Society.
The celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm at St. Andrews United Church, Spruce Grove on August 11, 2024.
What words are there to say to a man we truly loved and admired! We have had lots of fun seeing him at the cabin water skiing, helping his wife Lynn doing their walks and singing at the church! We had many years of friendship!!
Seeing him at the rink as it was Spruce Grove vs Sherwood Park and our boys Jared/Jon play against each other!!
He was always full of laughter no matter how tough life threw at him!
Eric and I will miss him dearly, he was a gentle loving soul gone too quickly.. forever in our hearts you will be❤️

Dorothy and I were heartbroken upon learning of Bruce’s passing, Bruce made a real difference in our world not the kind that is brash and brassy, rather his impact was done gently, with compassion for others, and humour, He was a living example of what is a gentleman.
