Germaine was born in St. Laurent, Manitoba and lived there until she was 19 years old. She went to Winnipeg to work and met Hilaire Bruneau.

They got married in 1952 and lived in Winnipeg until 1968 when they moved to Edmonton.

Germaine leaves to mourn her loss, Son, Robert Bruneau from Edmonton, Daughter, Vivian Bruneau from Edmonton, Son, Guy ( Sue ) Bruneau from Edmonton. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Hilaire Bruneau in 1986 and her son Bruce Bruneau in 2019. Germaine is also lovingly mourned by her Grandchildren Dakota Bruneau of Edmonton and Cayce Bruneau of Edmonton and Daughter-in-law ( Bruce's wife ) Jami Bruneau of Edmonton as well as many more relatives and friends.
