Darryl, Gillian, Karen, and families, I am saddened to hear of your dad’s passing. He was a wonderful teacher, having taught me math all throughout high-school, until I graduated with you, Darryl, in the same class. I won’t forget how he always used to tease me when I’d get to class, because I worked at the Burger Bar at lunch and seemed to have math right after lunch. He used to say he couldn’t concentrate on teaching because all he could smell was french fries…lol He was always kind, and helpful, and quick to smile. Sending love and hugs to you all ❤
Our deepest condolences to the the Da Costa family.
Louis and Gladys were our neighbours in Kampala, Uganda in the early ‘60s, and good friends of my parents. It was nice to see them again after we moved to Westlock, AB.
May his soul lie in eternal peace.

Our sincere condolences to the DaCosta family.
Mr. DaCosta remains a legend for those fortunate enough to have attended his EPC math classes. His teaching method offered a unique & effective blend of serious instruction, kindness, and unexpected hilarity.
Of course, the lessons didn’t end at EPC. Many an overconfident adolescent was ‘schooled’ on the tennis court by our gentle and dignified math teacher – all without breaking a sweat!
A true gentleman, he has been an inspiration for those of us fortunate to have crossed paths.
May you Darryl, and your family have loving memories forever in your hearts!
With love and hugs
Bernie and Fern
Condolences to the DaCosfa family. Me. DaCosta was my favorite teacher at EPC. I have great memories of his classes including his great sense of humour.
Your Dad was a wonderful teacher, friend and co-worker. Carl and I had some wonderful times with Your Mom and Dad including their 25th wedding anniversary in our back yard!
Hey Mrs Olson! Thanks for being a great teacher yourself!
Dear Darryl, Lory and Family, we are so sorry to hear that your beloved Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather has passed but no doubt his memory will stay present in all generations. Daryl and Kelsi, your eulogy touched on a life that was lived well and filled with love. Our sincere condolences to your entire Family.

My heartfelt condolences to all his family especially Darryl and Gillian. Louis was a lovely man and a great cousin of mine. We enjoyed several holidays in Kampala and Mombasa . I spent some wonderful days with his family in Kololo and fishing in Mombasa. He will be greatly missed. RIP . Donald and Family
Our sincere condolences to Darryl, Gillian, Karen and your families.
The visit of your family together with Louis and Gladys to our house in Parra, Goa some years ago is a cherished memory.
May the soul of our cousin Louis rest in peace.
My sincerest condolences to the Da Costa family. I knew Darryl a little bit and Gillian was in my grade in high school, and I knew Mr. Da Costa. Math was probably my favourite class in school and I had Mr. Da Costa for all four of my high school math classes. He was dynamic and funny and knew what we needed to navigate topics like Calculus. He encouraged us to go beyond what he did in class, challenging us to enter math contests, and to write the departmental Grade 12 Math exam (optional at the time) to see if we could get a higher grade than the one he gave us. After some 30 years of teaching “math-like” courses myself, I have yet to meet another teacher as passionate about his subject and as selfless with regard to his students.
Dear Daryl,Jillian+Karen+family.I am sadened to hear about you dads passing. We were good friends while we lived in Athabasca.I fondly recall all the wonderful visits we had in your parents home+the excellent curry dishes your mom made.I will forever remember both your parents for their kindness, caring+ respect for people.Trudie Jeske from Yktn.Sask
So very sorry to learn of the loss of both your parents. My parents Antony (Tony) De Almeida and Lucy De Almeida were school administrators and teachers in three continents and they met the Sequeira and DaCosta families through their kinship as Canadian immigrants and educators. We would visit the DaCosta family when we visited the Sequeira family.
Sending our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family.
God Bless you all.
Jude De Almeida and siblings.
