Florence Marie Alyward
The angels opened their arms and welcomed Florence Alyward.
They called to her that she has given so much love and care. Now it is her turn to rest.
Please grant us strength in our grief.
Florence shared many family meals and stories with everyone. Whether family or friend, all were invited.
Some of her greatest joys were welcoming her 8 children, 18 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Now we hold on to the memories of her smile.
Thank you for all you have done.
It was not always easy, but you did it with grace,
kindness and most of all you heart!

Florence was our ( McPhail girls) second mom growing up ,as younger children we ( and there 4 of us )always knew that she was just a phone call away. Her importance to our family knew no bounds , we shared beautiful day trips ,her my mom and all us kids ,12 in total ,would pack up in her HUGE van and head to Jasper or wherever , some of our greatest memories involved Florence and her kids . The closeness of her and my mom ,both single moms at the time, brought my mom some much-needed support and friendship they were always there for each other .Although many years had passed and we all grew apart ,when I saw Florence for the first time in decades she welcomed us with open arms , time seemed to meld together and was truly magical and memorable. Thanks for everything Florence THEN NOW and FOREVER ! The McPhail family
