TODAY WE/OR (FAMILY & FRIENDS) GATHER IN THE MIDST OF AN OCEAN OF EMOTIONS, TO REMEMBER & CELEBRATE LILLIAN YVONNE DELWISCH WHO PASSED AWAY DECEMBER 12TH AT HOME SURROUNDED BY HER LOVING FAMILY.
LIL WAS A DEVOTED WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMA, GREAT GRANDMA, SISTER & FRIEND WHO LOVED EFFORTLESSLY.
IT'S NOT EASY TO SAY GOODBYE, ESPECIALLY TO A WOMAN OF SUCH EMINENCE, TRULY A BEACON OF LIGHT. A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN OF ENDLESS STRENGTH, WISDOM & LOVE. SHE WAS HUMBLE AND SO BRAVELY COURAGEOUS UNTIL HER FINAL DAY. SHE HAD A CHARISMATIC WAY OF MAKING ALL WHO MEET HER FEEL SIGNIFICANT IN HER LIFE. SIMPLY, HER RADIANT SMILE AND TRUE LOVE OF LIFE INSPIRED MANY THROUGH THE YEARS. SHE WILL FOREVER BE A GUIDING SPIRIT FOR MANY.
A CONDENSED LITTLE BIT OF BACKGROUND ABOUT LIL: SHE WAS 2ND ELDEST OF 6 CHILDREN. SHE GREW UP IN NORTHERN ALBERTA ON FAMILY FARM LAND UNTIL AT A YOUNG AGE WHEN THEIR HOME BURNED DOWN LEADING THEM TO RELOCATE. SHE GRATEFULLY SHARED WITH GENERATIONS OF FAMILY; THAT BECAUSE SOME OF HER YOUNGER YEARS WERE SPENT WITH HER GRANDPARENTS THAT HER GRANDMOTHER DEFINITELY HELPED REFINE HER CULINARY ABILITIES & HER LOVE OF COOKING AND BAKING. HER YOUNGER SCHOOL YEARS WERE SPENT IN SMALL NORTHERN ALBERTA TOWN SCHOOLS FOLLOWED BY CORRESPONDENCE THEN SOME YEARS LATER HER AMBITION AND PERSEVERANCE LEAD HER TO COMPLETE HER GED TO PURSUE A REGISTERED NURSING ASSISTANT DIPLOMA. THERE WERE MANY MORE EDUCATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOLLOWING THROUGH THE YEARS WITH THE LAST BEING ONLY A FEW YEARS AGO IN 2016 WHEN SHE VERY PROUDLY COMPLETED A SECURITY GUARD PROGRAM.
LIL'S WORK ETHIC WAS UNMATCHABLE. SHE HAD A SEEMLY FEARLESSNESS ABOUT HER THAT WAS REFLECTED IN HER MANY LUCRATIVE ENTREPRENEUR VENTURES THROUGHOUT THE YEARS FROM SELLING AVON AS A TEENAGER TO MIDLIFE BEEKEEPING OWNER /OPERATOR TO RECOGNITION FOR TOP LIFE INSURANCE SALES PLUS MANY MORE SUCCESSES. A WOMAN OF UNWAVERING RESILIENCE, SHE WORKED TIRELESSLY WITHOUT HESITATION OR RESERVATION WHETHER IT WAS FOR OTHERS OR FOR FAMILY. HER PASSION WAS UNSTOPPABLE WHEN IT CAME TO SPORTS. HER TEAM SPIRIT AND DESIRE TO WIN ECHOED IN THE MANY YEARS SHE SPENT IN FALHER PLAYING LADIES SOFTBALL AS WELL AS SOME MIXED TEAM CURLING. HER SOFTBALL TALENT AND DRIVE LATER CONTRIBUTED TO HER TO BEING RECRUITED BY THE WOMEN'S MASTERS TEAM CANADA IN 1989. SHE PROUDLY RETOLD THE MANY STORIES AND ADVENTURES THAT ACCOMPANIED THOSE YEARS THRU HER LIFE. LIL UNQUESTIONABLY ALSO TREASURED THE MANY YEARS SPENT WHOLE HEATEDLY CHEERING ON ALL TEAMS SPORTS LIKE THE FALHER PIRATES HOCKEY TEAM AND WITHOUT A DOUBT ANY SPORTS THAT HER KIDS, GRANDKIDS, EXTENDED FAMILY OR FRIENDS PLAYED. THE LAST SPORT'S EVENT LIL ENJOYED AND BRAGGED ABOUT WAS IN JULY THIS YEAR AT A GREAT NIECE'S BALL TOURNAMENT IN LEDUC. EVERYONE THAT KNEW HER CAN VOUCH THAT HAVING HER CHEER YOU ON WAS UNDOUBTEDLY NEVER UNNOTICED. SHE PROUDLY RETOLD THE STORIES AND ADVENTURES THAT ACCOMPANIED THOSE YEARS THROUGHOUT HER LIFETIME. LIL ENJOYED MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO TRAVEL BUT ALWAYS RECOUNTED THAT THE TIME SPENT WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS WERE WHAT MADE THE TRIPS WONDERFUL MEMORIES. DOING FOR OTHERS AND MAKING TIME FOR PEOPLE WAS DEFINITELY ONE OF HER FINEST QUALITIES. A TOUCH OF LOVE WAS IN ALL SHE CARED FOR WHETHER IT WAS JUST QUIETLY SITTING BY HER HUSBAND'S SIDE, TALKING TO HER FLOWERS OR GARDENS, OR PROUDLY PRIORITIZING & PREPARING FAMILY DINNERS, GATHERINGS & HOLIDAYS.
IN CLOSING, IN MEMORY OF LIL, IT IS VERY KNOWN THAT LOVE AND GRATEFULNESS FILLED THE ROOM TODAY. SHE WAS ONE OF A KIND, AN INCREDIBLY STRONG WOMAN IN EVERY WAY, TRULY THE BACKBONE TO MANY IN HER FAMILY. WE ALL KNEW THAT LOVE FILLED EVERY LAST HUG & CHEERS SHE SHARED WITH US, HER FAMILY & FRIENDS.
SHE WILL BE FOREVER LOVED AND GREATLY MISSED. A TRUE, REAL ANGEL AND GUIDING SPIRIT FOR MANY.

To Lil’s Family,
My deepest sympathy, Lil was a great gal, we hung around for many many years. The best times were playing softball on the same team for 20 years. I was honored to be recruited with Lil to play for the for the Worlds Master Team Canada 1989, precious memories. She will be dearly missed by her family and softball family. Rest In Peace my Friend. Your smile will never be forgotten. God has a new angel free of pain.
Glen, to you and your entire family, our condolences and best wishes.
Sincerely Wayne and Brenda SCHAUER
