Dear Virginia, Grant and family, and Anita, I am so saddened to learn of your loss. Memories of happy times flood past as my heart sinks with knowledge of your loss. Bill was such a dear friend! I knew him, first as principal of my little Carragana School, then my ‘strict’ social studies teacher, and lastly, as a fun-loving friend! Too many years got away on us, and I regret that we didn’t stay in touch. May he rest easy in God’s loving arms. God bless you!

My sympathy to all the family. Mr. Zolkavich was such a kind but firm teacher. He was one of my favourite teachers in high school.
Deepest sympathy to Bill’s family. Like many posts he and Virginia (Miss Will gr 1) were my teachers and old neighbours In PP. I am certain as an educator you always wonder if you had an impact. I can honestly say social and history were not my thing- however my brother Stew loved those classes. Many years after we graduated we were discussing a topic and he frustratingly says … geez don’t you remember “Mr. Zolkavich taught us that in grade 8 social .. yikes i had no recall— i only remembered his dry wit and smile. Clearly one of us was more academic than the other. He will be missed . Sympathy to you all. 🙏
