Natasha Leigh Luxon

Natasha (Tash) was born in Yellowknife, NT where she grew up with her mom, Lorraine Fillion and stepdad Dave Payne. She completed her K-12 school years before she attended the Academy of Learning in Yellowknife while completing her Office Administration and Computerized Accounting courses. In 2006, Natasha married her best friend Bud Luxon in Yellowknife where they raised their two children, Carleigh and Brayden. After completing her post secondary schooling, she had opportunities to work in a few different office settings as she was employed by Office Compliments, an Employment Placement Agency. During her time with Office Compliments, she met a lot of new people and made friends easily. She decided to apply at the NWT Tourism office as a receptionist where she remained employed for a couple years. She had an opportunity to apply for a government position with the GNWT as a data entry clerk for the Yellowknife Health and Social Services Authority. After 5 short years in that position, she resigned from the government and the family relocated to Devon, Ab to pursue employment opportunities.

While residing in Devon Ab, the opportunity to complete Flight Attendant training presented itself and she jumped at the chance to work in the airline industry. She was nervous to start on the flight line but she overcame this fear quickly with her friendly and people loving personality. In a just a couple flights, she began to get to know a lot of her passengers which allowed for some professional friendships to begin. Some of these friendships continued to flourish with each ongoing individual encounter. Many would refer to her as a “Social Butterfly”.

In 2020, COVID-19 struck and with the hardships of the rising cost of living and reduced hours at work during the global pandemic, the decision was made to sell the house and relocate to Leduc, AB to focus on getting life back on track. A couple months after the sale of their home in Devon, life was beginning to return to normal and sadly she was suddenly taken from us due to an unknown heart condition.

Tash is survived by her Husband Bud Luxon, Children Carleigh and Brayden Luxon, Mother Lorraine Fillion, Father Kevin Morfitt, Stepfather Dave Payne, Brother Cory Fillion, Sisters Megan and Brianne Morfitt, Aunts Valerie Fillion and Linda Morfitt-Cyr, Uncles Norman and Darren Fillion, Keith Morfitt, Doug Phillips, Duane Debastien and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2023, from 2:00pm - 8:00pm at Aspen Creek Community Hall located at 4023 Aspen Way, Leduc Ab. You may contact Danielle Arlint for further information at 780-996-6720.
