Gene Lawrence Cozicar
July 4, 1937 - April 26, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gene Lawrence Cozicar on April 26, 2023 in Edmonton, AB.
He is survived by his loving wife Edna, stepdaughters; Dawn (Kevin) and Kim (Roger) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both his parents, his sister Olive and his brother Ralph.
As per Gene's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
Mom,
May God put his arms around you during this time to give you the strength you need to do for you now.
You did so much for Gene over the last several years of his illness. He so appreciated it so much, even though at times the disease took his voice and thoughts away from him.
I always was asked to look after you for birthdays holidays and special events.. he always wanted you to have the best of everything -“ Look after Mom ,he would say”.
Gene is irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humour will live on with all of us.
Now he is your guardian angel and will always be there for you within your thoughts when you need him to comfort you. He is a whisper away.
We send our heartfelt condolences to you during this sorrowful time and know we are always with you.

Gene, We will miss you at our monthly luncheons for Woodward’s retirees. Without your infectious laugh and sharp whit it won’t be the same without you.
